Pesticide Registration November 2025 | 448 products granted registration, including first-time EX registration of bisulflufen

From November 2 to December 8, 2025, the Chinese ICAMA approved registration of 448 pesticide products. The types of new registrations are shown as below:

A total of 33 pesticide TCs (including 5 for export only) were approved in this batch of registration, without TK products; the new registrations of insecticidal, acaricidal, fungicidal, herbicidal and plant growth regulator TCs are as follows:


Herbicides (11, including 3 for export only): Pyroxasulfon is added with 5 registrations; saflufenacil is added with 2, sulfosulfuron is added with 2 for export only to Cambodia; thiencarbazone-methyl and quinmerac (export only) are each added with 1 registration.

 

Among them, Shandong Rainbow’s quinmerac 95% TC (export only to Cambodia) is currently the only valid registration. The two sulfosulfuron 98% TC registrations in this batch are both for export only to Cambodia, which are currently the only two TC registrations of this product, as granted to Shandong Rainbow and Chengwu Taihe Chemical, respectively.  


Insecticides/acaricides (10, including 2 for export only): Cyantraniliprole and chlorantraniliprole are each added with 2 registrations, of which chlorantraniliprole is for export only to Brazil; lufenuron, bifenazate and diafenthiuron are each added with 1 registration. In terms of registration of acaricide TC, chlorfenapyr, cyenopyrafen and bisulflufen (export only) are each added with 1 registration. 


Among them, Jiangsu Youjia Crop Protection’s bisulflufen 95% TC is a first-time registration, which is for export only to Cambodia. The cyenopyrafen 98% TC filed by Shandong Aokun Crop Science is the third TC registration in China besides Nissan Chemical and Shandong Xinshili, with content of 98%, which is higher than the earlier two registrations of 95% content.


Fungicides (9): Fluopyram is added with 3 registrations; trifloxystrobin and metconazole are each added with 2 registrations; triticonazole and fluxapyroxad are each added with 1 registration. 


In terms of registration of active ingredients, 448 pesticide products in this batch involve 201 active ingredients. Among them, chlorantraniliprole is added with 30 product registrations, which is of the largest number of registrations, followed by products containing clothianidine, atrazine, fludioxonil and thiamethoxam, being all added with 15-20 registrations. In addition, products involving more than 10 registrations include glufosinate-P, pyraclostrobin, spirotetramat, fluopyram, flonicamid, chlorfenapyr, metalaxyl-M, trifloxystrobin, tebuconazole, pyroxasulfon, indoxacarb, abamectin, bifenthrin, azoxystrobin and cyhalofop-butyl.

The 201 active ingredients involved in this batch of registration are applied to 299 products. In addition to TC products, the total number of formulation registrations amounted to 415, among which some pesticide formulations (single agent/mixture) have larger number of registrations. For example, there are 11 glufosinate-P ammonium salt registrations and 6 chlorantraniliprole single agent registrations, as well as a couple of single agent or mixture registrations of trifloxystrobin.tebuconazole, cyhalofop-butyl, clothianidin, emamectin.chlorantraniliprole, tembotrions, propanil, pyroxasulfon and fluopyram.

In terms of formulation types, the 448 products registrations in this batch involve 19 types of formulations. Among them, there are 146 SCs accounting for 35.18%, 54 SLs accounting for 13.01%; the rest such as EC, OF, WG. GR, FS and ME, each involves more than 10 registrations.

As regards crops for application, this batch of registrations targets at application to rice, rice transplanting field, wheat, winter wheat field, wheat field, corn field, spring corn field, corn, soybean, soybean field, spring soybean field, cotton, cotton field, peanut and peanut field; the rest of major crops for application of this batch of registrations include vegetable crops such as tomato, cucumber, cabbage, potato, chive, Chinese kale (protected land), bok choy, chieh-qua and Chinese cabbage as well as fruit crops such as grape, watermelon, banana and citrus tree; there are also dozens of registrations for bare land, indoor and outdoor applications.

Concerning target of control, the registered herbicides in this batch are primarily for control of annual weed, weed, annual grassy weeds, annual broad-leaved weed, annual broad-leaved weed/sedge; insecticides are primarily for control of aphid, rice stem borer, grub, rice leaf roller, rot-knot nematode, spider mite, Phyllotreta vittata Fabricius, thrips, rice planthopper, tobacco whiteflies, chive maggot, diamondback moth, scale insect, cockroach, whiteflies, tea lesser leafhopper and beet armyworm; fungicides are primarily for control of gibberellic disease, root rot, powdery mildew, late blight, rice blast, downy mildew, sheath blight, virus disease, damping off, bacterial spot and wilt.
